About this camp

Temple University's Pre-College Workshops offer high school students (rising 10th-12th graders) an immersive academic experience, allowing them to explore potential college majors and develop college readiness skills. Students engage in interactive, project-based learning, choosing two non-credit workshops per two-week session – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – or a full-day intensive workshop. The program emphasizes hands-on application of concepts, small group work, and classroom presentations. Participants build confidence, independence, and make new friends while learning from Temple faculty, graduate students, and staff, with support from current undergraduate mentors. The workshops aim to introduce key concepts in various academic fields and help students understand what they might want to study in college.
